Dear Aaron,

Did you know that 1 in 12 children nearly 6 million children across the country have asthma?

What is asthma? Asthma is a disease that impacts the lungs that makes it harder to breathe. For people with asthma, the airways in their lungs are often swollen or painful.

When it is not treated, asthma can lead to missed school days, visits to the emergency room or even permanent injury to their lungs..

But the good news is that with proper treatment, asthma is manageable. In most cases, kids can keep doing the things they want to without asthma getting in the way.

We can help by giving you information and action plans to help keep your child healthy.
